Laser cuts are a quick and effective way of rapid prototyping − whether it’s for creating a set of bespoke stencils to speed up sketching for a UI project, or for mocking up accurate physical prototypes.

My favourite use of the laser cutter however is for creating beautifully detailed objects: I have exhibited my laser cut jewellery at the V&A Digital Futures and the Willesden Windows project.  I’ve also drawn and laser cut an entire alphabet, a time-consuming project, but the results and experience were worth every minute.
